Ketofiti keto course, day 29, fasting

What 16:8 Really Means

Intermittent fasting sounds fancy, but 16:8 is simple. For 16 hours you take only water, black chai without sugar, or plain black coffee. Then you eat all your food inside an 8-hour window. Many Kenyans already do something close to this without knowing it. If you skip breakfast, work through the morning, and eat your first meal at 1pm, then finish supper by 9pm, that is basically 16:8. On keto this works well because eating eggs, sukuma, avocado, and a little meat keeps you full for hours, so the long gap does not feel like suffering. You are not starving yourself. You are just giving your body a longer rest from food, which helps it burn stored fat. Start gently. Push breakfast later by one hour each few days until the window feels natural. There is no need to rush or force it.

Takeaway. 16:8 just means eat within 8 hours and rest your body on water and plain chai for the other 16.
