Electrolytes on keto
Why sodium, potassium and magnesium matter, and how much to aim for.
On keto your body holds less water and loses more salts, so you need more than usual:
- Sodium: about 3,000 to 5,000 mg a day (more on hard training days).
- Potassium: about 3,000 to 4,000 mg a day (greens, avocado, meat).
- Magnesium: about 300 to 500 mg a day (greens, nuts, or a supplement).
Most 'keto flu' symptoms are really low electrolytes. Ketofiti lets you log these and shows your targets.
