Keto in plain language

What the ketogenic diet is and how it works.

Keto means eating very few carbohydrates (about 20 to 50 grams of net carbs a day), moderate protein, and enough fat to feel full. With carbs low, your body switches to burning fat and making ketones for fuel. That state is called nutritional ketosis.

Net carbs = total carbs minus fibre. Fibre does not raise blood sugar, so we count net carbs. In Ketofiti this is calculated for you.

Expect the switch to take a few days. Stay patient, drink water, and add salt.
