Choose Fats That Don't Come From a Factory
On keto, fat is your friend, but not all fats are equal. The best ones are close to how nature made them: eggs, avocado (parachichi), coconut, groundnuts, omena, mala, and fat from real meat. These have been eaten in Kenya for generations and your body knows what to do with them. The ones to go easy on are the cheap refined seed and vegetable oils sold in big plastic bottles, like the common cooking oil, sunflower and soya oils. They are heavily processed in factories and eating a lot of them daily is not ideal for a keto plate. You do not need to throw away your bottle today. Just start shifting: fry your eggs in a little coconut oil, snack on parachichi, add omena to your greens. Small swaps, done often, add up. Keto is not about fear, it is about picking fats that actually feed you.
Takeaway. Pick fats that grow or come from an animal, not fats born in a factory.
