Ghee, Coconut and Avocado: Your Keto Kitchen Trio

Three fats do brilliant work in a Kenyan keto kitchen. Ghee (samli) is clarified butter, it handles high heat without spoiling and adds beautiful flavour to sukuma, eggs or beef. Coconut oil is affordable in many dukas, stays stable when frying, and a spoon in your chai or greens keeps you full for hours. Avocado (parachichi) is one of the cheapest, most keto-perfect foods we have; half a ripe one with your eggs is a proper meal. You do not need all three at once. Buy whichever your budget and local duka allow this week. A small tin of ghee lasts long because you use little. Coconut oil does not go rancid quickly like some cheap oils. And when parachichi is in season, it is nearly free at the market. These three cover frying, flavour and filling you up, without breaking the M-Pesa balance.

Takeaway. Ghee, coconut oil and parachichi cover frying, flavour and fullness on a real budget.
