Drink water, but salt it a little
Many people hear "drink more water" and gulp litres of plain water, then feel worse, not better. On keto, plain water alone can actually wash out even more of your salts, leaving you dizzy and drained. The trick is to drink water with a little salt in it. Once or twice a day, stir a small pinch of salt (and a squeeze of lemon if you like) into a glass of water. Your unsweetened chai counts as fluid too, so a cup of black or milky tea without sugar is fine and even comforting. A simple daily rhythm: water in the morning, one lightly salted glass midday, greens with lunch and supper. Drink enough that your urine stays pale, not dark. You do not need fancy sports drinks or sodas, which are full of sugar and knock you out of keto anyway. Simple, salted water does the job.
Takeaway. Plain water alone washes salts out; add a pinch of salt so hydration actually helps.
