Ketofiti

Ketofiti keto course, day 26, ketoflu

Cheap local salts to feel better fast

You do not need expensive supplements to fix keto flu. Your kitchen already has the answer. For sodium, simply add a bit more salt to your food than usual, or sip a mug of warm water with a quarter teaspoon of salt when you feel weak or headachy. On keto you sweat out more salt, so a little extra is often helpful, not harmful. For potassium, reach for sukuma wiki, spinach, avocado (parachichi), mushrooms and tomatoes. For magnesium, eat greens, groundnuts (njugu), pumpkin seeds and omena, which are cheap and loaded with minerals. A plate of eggs fried with sukuma, plus a slice of avocado, quietly covers all three salts for very little money. Spread these across your meals daily rather than all at once. If you take blood pressure or kidney medication, talk to your doctor before adding extra salt, because for you the rules may be different.

Takeaway. Sukuma, avocado, omena, njugu and a pinch of extra salt cover your electrolytes for pocket change.
