Chai With Family, Your Way
Chai time is family time, and you do not have to skip it. The trick is what goes in the cup. Regular chai with lots of sugar can quietly add spoon after spoon of carbs, and on keto that is what we are watching. Ask for your cup with no sugar, and if you like it creamy, add a little milk. Fresh whole milk has some natural sugar too, so keep it small; black chai or chai with a splash of milk is the safest. If the whole family shares one sugared thermos, just pour yours first before the sugar goes in, or make a small separate cup. Nobody needs to know it is a keto choice. You still sit, talk, and enjoy the moment. Over time your tongue adjusts and unsweetened chai starts tasting normal and even nice.
Takeaway. Keep the chai, lose the sugar, and you never miss the family circle.
