Ketofiti

Ketofiti keto course, day 5, start

What Keto Actually Means

Keto is simple: you eat very few carbohydrates so your body switches from burning sugar to burning fat for energy. In practice, that means cutting the foods most of us build our plates around, ugali, rice, chapati, bread, and sugar in your chai, and leaning on fat and protein instead. Your first week, keep meals plain and repeatable. A good starting plate is eggs fried in real oil, sukuma wiki or spinach, and some meat or fish. Drink plenty of water and add a pinch of salt to your food, because as carbs drop your body sheds water and salt, which can leave you tired. Do not chase perfection. Just get carbs low and stay consistent for seven days. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or take any medication, talk to your doctor before starting, since your needs may be different.

Takeaway. Keto is cutting the starch and sugar so your body burns fat instead.
