Ketofiti

Ketofiti keto course, day 44, social

Budget-Friendly Social Foods

Staying on keto at gatherings does not mean expensive food. The cheapest keto wins are already on the Kenyan table: eggs, omena, sukuma wiki, cabbage, and a bit of beef or chicken. If you are hosting or contributing on an M-Pesa budget, boiled eggs and a big pan of sukuma fried in oil feed many people for little money. Omena is packed with protein and very affordable, and it fits keto well. Avocado, when in season and cheap, is a perfect keto add-on. For drinks, water and unsweetened chai cost almost nothing compared to sodas. You do not need special "diet" products or imported items; the village shop and market already have what you need. Plan one or two keto dishes you can afford and lean on them at every event. Eating this way can actually save money because you skip the sugary sodas, sweets, and extra chapati.

Takeaway. Eggs, omena, and sukuma are cheap, filling, and fully keto.
